LAZOS DE ORO is one of the most relevant recognitions in Puerto Rico's culinary industry.
Created in 2023, its purpose is to elevate the cuisine of our islands by highlighting the extraordinary work of the people who make it possible, all evaluated under one shared standard.
The goal is to create an ultra-curated guide by industry professionals that serves as a gastronomic map for local and international diners.
The listings were announced during the Lazos de Oro 2026 celebration gala.
Restaurants are nominated by judges from the Lazos de Oro circuit, beginning a rigorous evaluation process that extends over several months. During this period, each proposal is visited, analyzed, and carefully assessed to ensure fair and consistent criteria at every stage.
Judges remain anonymous at all times, protecting the objectivity and impartiality of the process. They are connected to the food industry from different perspectives, including chefs, sommeliers, operations managers, distributors, marketing professionals, and passionate diners.
